Location: Eastern Turkey, southwest of Ararat
Lat / Long: 39.3° N, 43.8° E
Volcanic Type: Shield volcano
Volcanic Status: Active, last eruption 1855

Tendurek Dagi is a moderate-sized shield volcano located about 35 miles (55 km) southwest of Ararat, and about the same distance northeast of Lake Van. Like Ararat, Tendurek is located just a few miles west of the Turkey-Iran border, but there do not appear to be any restrictions on climbing or skiing on Tendurek at this time. The best access is from the Trans-Asian Highway which passes just to its north heading west from Dogubayazit, where several smaller roads branch south towards Tendurek.
