Tendurek Dagi is a moderate-sized shield volcano located about 35 miles (55 km) southwest of Ararat,
and about the same distance northeast of Lake Van. Like Ararat, Tendurek is located just a few miles
west of the Turkey-Iran border, but there do not appear to be any restrictions on climbing or skiing on
Tendurek at this time. The best access is from the Trans-Asian Highway which passes just to its north
heading west from Dogubayazit, where several smaller roads branch south towards Tendurek.
