The Truncated Cone of St Helens
A veritable train of skiers, snowboarders, and climbers ascends the final stretch to the crater rim. Skinning conditions were quite good even on the last and steepest portion, as the new snow had been thoroughly windpacked. I reached the crater rim just after noon.
