Heading Home
By mid-morning we arrived at our destination, a group of crevasses about twenty feet wide, hundreds of feet long, and over a hundred feet deep located at 7200 ft (2200 m) along the western edge of the Nisqually Glacier. This view looks south down the Nisqually past our crevasse of choice and out over the nearby Tatoosh Range, with the volcanic cones of Mounts Adams, Hood, and Saint Helens (left to right) visible on the horizon. The group leaders are scouting out the crevasses while the rest of the party waits.
